It is with great sadness I share with you that one of our favorite Lions has passed. Lion Bert Colwell passed away at 3 a.m. Tuesday morning, November 18th, with his family surrounding him. His son, David, has been in touch to let us know that the funeral will be held this Friday, November 21st at 3 p.m. at the Veterans' Cemetery, 10100 North Horseshoe Bend Road, Boise, Idaho.
In respect and honor of Bert and his family, the meeting this Friday is cancelled so that as many members as possible are able to attend the service, including those who may need to work through lunch to leave work early. We will resume our regular meeting schedule on December 5th.
During his 37 years as a member, Bert's vigor for life and infectious sense of humor inspired us all and taught us what being a Lion is all about. Please keep Bert's family in your thoughts and prayers
